Ms. Kali Jones

1. Where did you go to college? Samford University.
2. What classes will you be teaching? Life of Jesus and 180 Degree Theology.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? Water Polo!
4. What do you like to do in your free time? Run, travel, drink coffee and explore Atlanta.
5. What is your favorite movie? Elf.
6. What is your favorite book? That is a tough one. Probably “Wild”.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? My whole family has their black belt… except me.
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? History.

Mr. Glenn Archer

1. Where did you go to college?  Georgia Tech (undergrad) and Dallas Theological Seminary (grad school).
2. What classes will you be teaching? Apologetics and Global Justice (both in the Bible Department).
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? Middle School Softball and 7th Grade Boys Basketball.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? Watch movies and play with our German Shepherds.
5. What is your favorite movie? Gladiator.
6. What is your favorite book? Lone Survivor.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? I was in New York City on 9/11/2001 while working for an investment banking firm.
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? Calculus.

Ms. Claire Coward (Faculty Fellow)

1. Where did you go to college? Clemson University.
2. What classes will you be teaching? 10th and 12th grade English.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? 8th grade volleyball, MS swimming and diving, and JV lacrosse.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? Search for snails and/or salamanders, read, and eat peanut butter.
5. What is your favorite movie? Forrest Gump or Begin Again.
6. What is your favorite book? East of Eden by John Steinbeck.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? I have a strange talent of fake sneezing.
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? English/History/lunch.

Ms. Abby Johnson (Faculty Fellow)

1. Where did you go to college? The University of Georgia.
2. What classes will you be teaching? High School Latin- Mr. Cooper and I aren’t sure which classes I will be taking over quite yet.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? Varsity Cross Country, 7th Grade Girls’ Basketball, MS Track.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? I love to be outside, go on walks, pick-up basketball/volleyball/spike ball, watching football games, etc.
5. What is your favorite movie? The Sound of Music or Pride and Prejudice.
6. What is your favorite book? Hmm…I have lots. I really love the book Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand or Knowing God by J.I. Packer.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? I studied abroad in Cortona, Italy during the fall semester of my junior year of college. I would highly recommend everyone taking advantage of study abroad programs during his/her college careers! It was truly an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? Latin of course! 🙂

Ms. Macey Sims (Faculty Fellow)

1. Where did you go to college? I went to Samford University.
2. What classes will you be teaching? I will be teaching 9th grade English with Emily Zavitz.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? I will be coaching Varsity Cross Country, The Winter Musical, and Middle School Track and Field.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? I love to take photos, hike, and read.
5. What is your favorite movie? About Time.
6. What is your favorite book? The Secret Garden.
7. What is an interest fact about yourself? I have been to 7 different countries.
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? My favorite subject in high school was my newspaper class.

Mr. Jim Hendricks

1. Where did you go to college? The Citadel (The Military College of South Carolina).  I also had attended Union College (New York) and University of St. Thomas (Minnesota) and received a Master’s degree in each of these colleges. I also hold a graduate level diploma from the United States Army Command and General Staff College.
2. What classes will you be teaching? Honors Physics, Physics, and Astronomy.
3. What extracurricular will you be coaching? Middle School Boys’ Soccer.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? My wife and I visit historical sites, travel to various places, play golf, eat at nice restaurants.  We also like to see nice movies at the local theater or see musicals, plays and classic concerts (19th Century music).
5. What is your favorite movie? Science Fiction movies about Physics, Astronomy and space travel like “Interstellar,” or “Star Wars.”
6. What is your favorite book(s)? The Bible and various history books.  I had co-authored a history book about the Northwest Territory during the War of 1812.  Type, “Gainesville Resident War of 1812” on the Internet Search Engine to briefly read about what the book was about.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? I had spent 32 years of my life serving as a military officer and travelled to over 15 different countries and overseas locations.
8. What was your favorite subject(s) in high school? Science and History.

Mrs. Stephanie Simmons

1. Where did you go to college? Belmont University.
2. What classes will you be teaching? High School Beginning Dance.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? Director of Middle School Fall Play and Spring Musical and Choreographer for High School Winter Musical.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? Thrift/Antiquing, watch movies, paint, nap, play Ninja Turtles with my son.
5. What is your favorite movie? The Princess Bride.
6. What is your favorite book? Pride and Prejudice.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? I grew up in Colorado but have never been skiing.

Mr. Ed Dudley

1. Where did you go to college? Rhodes College.
2. What classes will you be teaching? I will be teaching econ and world history.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? I am an assistant varsity football coach and women’s lacrosse coach.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? I spend my free time on my family and the outdoors.
5. What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie is Gladiator.
6. What is your favorite book? My favorite book(s) is the entire Lord of the Rings series Tolkein.
7. What is an interest fact about yourself? Interesting fact: Coach Chip Myrick and Coach Anna Myrick are my nephew and niece!
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? Favorite high school subject was AP U.S. History with Coach Ron Mangrum.

Ms. Mary Stephenson

1. Where did you go to college? Tulane University in New Orleans.
2. What classes will you be teaching? AP Government and Peer Leadership.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? Head softball coach, assistant coach for varsity girls’ basketball.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? Golf, fishing, trying new restaurants, hanging out with friends.
5. What is your favorite movie? Rudy.
6. What is your favorite book? To Kill a Mockingbird.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? I was a student at Tulane when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. Tulane was closed for the fall semester of 2005, so I was a refugee student at Duke University for that semester.
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? A tie between APUSH and Old Testament with Mr. Khedouri.

Mrs. Dayna Thomson

1. Where did you go to college? Davidson College.
2. What classes will you be teaching? N/A College Advising Assistant.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? N/A.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? Hang with my family! I also love to play tennis, scrapbook and listen to music.
5. What is your favorite movie? The one I can watch over and over again is the original Footloose.
6. What is your favorite book? I don’t think I can pick just one. Unbroken, the Art of Hearing Heartbeats and the Harry Potter series are among my favorites.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? I attend more than my fair share of live music concerts…
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? It’s a toss-up between English Literature and Biology (Genetics).

Mrs. Cameron Alexander

1. Where did you go to college? UNC Chapel Hill.
2. What classes will you be teaching? 10th Grade American Literature and one section of the Senior English Seminar.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? Assistant Directing Godspell and Girls Golf Assistant Coach.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? I love to cook, bake, craft and hang out with my husband and our families.
5. What is your favorite movie? The Prestige.
6. What is your favorite book? Uncle Tom’s Cabin.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? I have an identical twin sister, an actress, who is moving to Atlanta at the end of this month.
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? English and Newspaper–of course.

Mrs. Myriam Liverance

1. Where did you go to college? Georgia State University.
2. What classes will you be teaching? Spanish; AP, 4Honors and 2.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? Omicron and Prom.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? I love to garden in my free time.
5. What is your favorite movie? Sleepless in Seattle.
6. What is your favorite book? Francine Rivers novels- Redeeming Love.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? I sailed to Cuba with my family in a 26’ sailboat.
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? French.

Ms. Beth McConnell

1. Where did you go to college? Emory University.
2. What classes will you be teaching? Freshmen Biology.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? High school Theater, working with the winter play and spring musical.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? Swim, listen to audiobooks and play piano.
5. What is your favorite movie? Pride and Prejudice.
6. What is your favorite book? The Wheel of Time (fantasy series).
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? I’ve been to four continents.
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? English, because I had awesome teachers.

Ms. Corrie Nash

1. Where did you go to college? Undergrad at Bryan College, master’s at Georgia State.
2. What classes will you be teaching? Algebra II, Geometry and PreCal Honors.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? I work in the math lab after school, and I am helping with the math team and honor council.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? Read, sleep, watch Georgia football and pin project ideas for my new house.
5. What is your favorite movie? Not a movie, but I can watch seasons of Gilmore Girls over and over again.
6. What is your favorite book? I don’t have an all-time favorite, but the last one I finished and enjoyed was Seven Women: And the Secret of their Greatness by Eric Metaxas.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? Once upon a time, I dyed my hair purple.
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? Math.

Mr. Brian St. James

1. Where did you go to college? Binghamton University-Bachelor of Arts in Political Science; Asbury Theological Seminary-Master of Divinity.
2. What classes will you be teaching? Old Testament and World Religions.
3. What extracurriculars will you be coaching? Varsity Wrestling and Middle School Track and Field.
4. What do you like to do in your free time? Hang out with my wife Caitlin and play sports.
5. What is your favorite movie? The Patriot.
6. What is your favorite book? The Bible and Crazy Love by Francis Chan.
7. What is an interesting fact about yourself? I have a twin brother.
8. What was your favorite subject in high school? Social Sciences.
