Ben Connor (11th)

  1. How does it feel to be on this year’s homecoming court? It’s a great honor, and I’m happy that my peers think so highly of me. Unless I’m the joke candidate…then it’d be awkward.

  3. If you could choose any theme for theme days, what would it be? I’d like to see a movement towards supporting Supervillain Theme Day.

  5. If you could nominate any teacher to be Homecoming King or Queen, who would it be and why? Mr. Lisson for sure. He’s like everyone in the school’s best friend. He would be the best Hoco King out there (Christian Stark coming in as a close second).

Grace Chapman (12th)

  1. How does it feel to be on this year’s homecoming court? I’m honored to get to represent my class in this way and a little nervous to be in front of so many people at the pageant and during the game!

Nick Eversbusch (12th)

  1. How does it feel to be on this year’s homecoming court?

  6. If you could party with any historical figure, who would it be and why? I would party with Eve because I could tell her not to eat the apple. Then we would all be able to live in Eden and it would be sick.

Eric Panther (12th)

  1. How does it feel to be on this year’s homecoming court? It feels amazing and it makes me feel very special that my grade would choose me to be on the homecoming court because there were so many other guys that are incredible and just as deserving as I am. I hope to represent the class well during the week and going forward.
  2. What are you most looking forward to as a member of the homecoming court? I’m looking forward to playing all the games, and probably being forced to humiliate myself in front of the whole high school. I’m a very extroverted person who doesn’t get embarrassed very easily, so this should not be an issue for me. In fact, I’m very excited for the opportunity to hopefully make people laugh a little.
  3. If you could choose any theme for theme days, what would it be? I have always wanted a Disney day, and there is! So up until this point that is what it would have been. I’m not going to do that though because that’s boring… if I could have any additional theme day, it would probably have to be everything Harry Potter. By this I mean you could be a dope broom with your hair going everywhere as the hay of the broom, or you could take it on the character route and be any character in Harry Potter.
  4. What movie character do you identify with most and why? I most identify with Captain Jack Sparrow because he clever, funny, and likes the water. Jack Sparrow is someone that at first glance looks like a character that everyone laughs with all the time because he’s hilarious, but if you look at some of his movie quotes, they’re actually smart and clever, which I can relate to.
  5. If you could nominate any teacher to be Homecoming King or Queen, who would it be and why? I would nominate Mr. Lisson to be the Homecoming King because he’s just an all-around good guy. He’s a freak athlete, an incredible example of how to live as a Christian, and someone who can reach out to any type of person. He’s a great example of what it looks like to be a leader to the school.
  6. If you could party with any historical figure, who would it be and why? I’m stretching the boundaries a little bit with this question because I’m going to go fictional with this guy. I would like to party with Gatsby because if we’re being honest, who doesn’t want to go to a Gatsby party. Also, if you party with Gatsby, you party with everyone because everyone goes to his parties.

Sid Brendel (12th)

  1. How does it feel to be on this year’s homecoming court? It’s an honor to be recognized on the homecoming court.
  2. What are you most looking forward to as a member of the homecoming court? I’m looking forward to the games that we get to play on stage and having my mom as an escort to recognize her for all her hard work.
  3. If you could choose any theme for theme days, what would it be? Dad Day, everybody dresses up like a dad.
  4. What movie character do you identify with most and why? Probably Rob Kimball in Hot Rod because he lives life to the fullest, and I hope to do that too.
  5. If you could nominate any teacher to be Homecoming King or Queen, who would it be and why? Homecoming King would be Dawson Zimmerman because he is a bro. Homecoming Queen would go to Mrs. Stainback because she is the best/nicest teacher I have ever had.
  6. If you could party with any historical figure, who would it be and why? Gandhi, he seems like a pretty chill dude.

  2. What are you most looking forward to as a member of the homecoming court? I am most looking forward to embarrassing myself at the pageant.
  3. If you could choose any theme for theme days, what would it be? Twin Day. I guess I’m just biased.
  4. What movie character do you identify with most and why? Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars. He is very wise and well respected in the Jedi world, and he is the man.
  5. If you could nominate any teacher to be Homecoming King or Queen, who would it be and why? Mr. Paroli. I mean what else has to be said?
  6. If you could party with any historical figure, who would it be and why? I would play a round of golf with George W. Bush.

Josh Cotter (12th)

  1. How does it feel to be on this year’s homecoming court? It’s really cool not only because it’s the last homecoming I will be a part of at Wesleyan, but also that my sister is on Homecoming court, too.
  2. What are you most looking forward to as a member of the homecoming court? I am most looking forward to walking across the field during halftime with my mom. I think it will be a cool moment which I will never forget.
  3. If you could choose any theme for theme days, what would it be? I think that Pajama Day would be a good addition to theme days. Who doesn’t want to come to school in their pajamas? I think if I could sit through classes in pajama pants it would be more bearable.
  4. What movie character do you identify with most and why? I most identify with Hawkeye from Avengers because he’s a quiet guy who just does his job and tries to keep all the Avengers on the same page.
  5. If you could nominate any teacher to be Homecoming King or Queen, who would it be and why? I would definitely nominate Mr. Smith to be Homecoming King because he does so much for the school and in my life from being an XC coach to co-leading the senior boys Bible study every week.
  6. If you could party with any historical figure, who would it be and why? I would party with Teddy Roosevelt because I feel like he would do just about anything if I asked him to.
