  1. What colleges are you applying to? I applied to a lot of colleges but I’m going to Wake Forest.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Senior Leadership, SALSA, Hand-in-Hand, Lit Mag, Softball and Tennis.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Mitchell Robinson.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? My most embarrassing moment is when I had my birthday party in 8th grade and was taking a picture with Sarah Adams on the fence in my backyard and I was off balance and fell backwards. I proceeded to get my foot caught in the fence and twisted it and had to be carried inside by my dad. I was in a boot for a few weeks and telling everyone how I hurt it was just super embarrassing.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? Sing in a play.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “A Little More Summertime” by Jason Aldean.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Mrs. Morris because she has such a positive attitude and the best sense of humor and she went to Notre Dame. (Go Irish!)
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Netflix, Ansel Elgort and a raft so I could float/tan in the ocean.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? I hope that I’ll be graduated from college, settled down somewhere in Georgia with kids and a husband who has a good job.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? I would go to Cancún, Mexico with my best friends and sip an ice cold Coke, tanning right by the ocean while listening to our favorite playlist of country music and listening to the waves crash upon our feet.

Maddie Turner

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I will be attending the College of William & Mary.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Team Omicron, Lacrosse and Hand-in-Hand.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? This is super awkward but Sam Gottlich the first few months of freshman year.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? Let’s just say it involved my middle school’s morning news broadcast and leave it at that.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? Tried Young Life.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “Cable Car” by The Fray.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Madame McCauley, because she is the queen of course. But for real, she is super kind and understanding and always has an open ear and great advice.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Flavor Blasted X-tra Cheddar Goldfish, a Bible and Pinterest.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? Graduated from college and grad school, working a job I love, happily married with a kid.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? Hang out and reminisce and laugh with all of the people I love. Lots of good food included.

 

Alex Turner

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I’m deciding between Virginia Tech and Auburn.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? A few shenanigans here and there.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? That’s really none of your business…you sly dog you.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? We were quickly accelerating up to very speedy speeds, then jumping off the side of the jet ski. There were like 3 people on it when the incident occurred, one went left, the other right, I had no choice but to bail backwards. In the end, I landed on the tushy forcing an excavation of the colon. Nothing more embarrassing than throwing away a pair of underwear in front of your friend’s mom…
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? I wish I had tried for an uptown girl, one’s who’s been living in her white bread world and looking for a downtown man.
  6. What is the theme song to your life?Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi (1986).
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? I’d be Mr. Cleveland. Who doesn’t want the keys to the kingdom?
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Headlights on the highway, sheets of linen and a busy day.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? Working on the docks when the union’s on strike, it’ll be a tough time…so tough. It probably won’t make a difference if we make it or not though ‘cause we’ll have each, and that’s a lot for love. We’ll give it a shot…
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? I’d make it half way there, take up some hands, and hold on to what I’ve got.

 

Angela Yang

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I was admitted to and am currently deciding between Carnegie Mellon University, University of Southern California and Vanderbilt.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Honor Council, Math Team, Science Bowl, Lit Mag, SALSA, Chapel Band, XC and short-lived careers in Mock Trial and Model Arab League.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Zach Green in 1st grade.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? One rainy cross country practice in 9th grade, I was running down one of the larger hills with my friends. I took a nasty tumble and to my horror, slid the rest of the way down. On the bright side, I was the first one to make it to the bottom of the hill. On the not so bright side, I was completely covered with a red clay-like substance for the rest of practice.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? No regrets!!
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “The Reckless and the Brave” by All Time Low.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Mrs. Brown. She has such a heart for people and truly invests herself in students’ lives. Not to mention, she gets to play with math all day! Living the dream!!
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Whatever mode of transportation that’ll get me home ASAP, drinkable water because hydration is key and my iPhone because – let’s be real – snapstreaks are life.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? I hope to be researching in the field of Artificial Intelligence, while promoting STEM and also happily married. I’d love to experience life in Silicon Valley or another tech hub at some point as well!
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? Spend it with everyone I love, eat chocolate and watch a bunch of rom-coms.

 

Elisa Yang

  1. What colleges are you applying to? UGA.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Golf, Omicron Service Society, Mock Trial and Math team.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? James Cyran freshman year.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? On a 7th grade field trip, we were coming back from Washington D.C. The girl and boys were on separate coach buses. It was the middle of the night, and I woke up only to find out I had wet my seat. I was in the middle of changing pants, but I took so long trying to get them without waking up the girl next to me and the girls on the aisle that the bus stopped at a rest area. Terrified, I quickly pulled up my sweaty sweatpants. For some reason, I still had to go to the bathroom, and just as I left the bus, the boys bus rolls in. There was enough light where they and the girls following behind me could clearly see “it,” so I had to walk like a crab facing them. Later, I changed my pants and spent the rest of the ride awake.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? Been to more sports games.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “Bet on It” by Troy Bolton.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Mrs. Morris because her art moves me to tears.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Music, Abby Gardner and my golf bag.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? Living my dream on the LPGA tour.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? Go to space.

 

Margaret-Ann Yates

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I am going to the University of Georgia.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Cross country, Hand-in-Hand, omicron, Track and Field and Dominican Republic mission trip.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Davis Koetter in 8th grade.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? Every time I got stopped by the junior boys when I was a sophomore just trying to drive out of the lake lots unnoticed… the worst was when they’d make me roll down my window and talk to me.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? A play.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “Do My Thang” by Miley Cyrus.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Mrs. Morris because I love her witty sense of humor and she’s so smart.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Unlimited supply of Ben & Jerrys, Nicole and a Go-Pro so we could document our adventures on the island and then annoy everyone on social media when we got home.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? Hopefully I will be married with kids (and for sure a couple of dogs) working part time after having established a successful career and trying my best to be a “cool mom.”
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? Go on a beach trip with all my gals, skydive and eat a lot of French fries.

 

Noah Young

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I will be attending Baylor University next year.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? I was involved in Marching Band, wrestling, chapel band and winter drum line.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Megan Macia in 6th grade.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? Back in 9th grade, it was Mr. Koch’s first year as a teacher, and when we were in class I accidently yelled out an answer and he yelled so loud and threatened to send me to the honor council in front of everyone. We are friends now, but I still hold a grudge.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? I wish I had done theater.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue” by Toby Keith because conservative ideology is strongly represented.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Mr. Foster, because he always pushes me to be better than I am the day before and has helped me so much in my musical career. I would not be the person I am today if it was not for him.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? For sure some Chase’s Wingery all seasons of Prison Break and a drum set.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? I hope that I am a successful businessman, living in a nice house with my amazing family.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? I would jump off the Burj Khalifa with a wingsuit.

 

Lolly Zimmerman

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I’m going to Auburn!
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Hand-in-Hand, cross country, swimming, lacrosse, peer leadership, SLW, ambassador, mission trips and yearbook.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Sid Brendel in 10th grade.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? Definitely peeing on stage during a dance recital in front of all the older girls and running off the stage crying.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? Made the play.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “Greasy Burgers” by Miss Gail and the Jumpin’ Jam Band.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Coach Williams because she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and she gets to hang out with cute pre-firsters all day.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Shampoo, my turtle, Goldfish and the Moana soundtrack.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? I hope I will be married and working as an elementary teacher either here in the south or as a missionary teacher overseas.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? I would grab my dog Turbo and call up all my friends and family and head on up to my lake house to catch the sunrise on the boat, then spend the rest of the day on the lake and eating junk food with friends.

 

Makena Renz

  1. What colleges are you applying to? University of Georgia.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Tennis, Softball, Mission Trips, Salsa, Hand in Hand, Ambassador Bible Studies.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Mitchell Robinson.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? So freshman year homecoming was coming up in the next few weeks and I was wondering what me and my date were going to be doing after homecoming. I ended up emailing him. My date was Cory Miller. At the time, there was another Cory Miller at Wesleyan, a senior who was, to say the least, attractive. I unknowingly emailed him a long email about how excited I was to go to homecoming with him and couldn’t wait to hang out with him all night then proceeded to ask what he wanted to do after. The hot, senior Cory Miller emailed me back saying that he wasn’t taking me to homecoming and I had the wrong email. Now, Cory Miller and I are friends and he brings it up every time I see him.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? Gone on a mission trip my sophomore year
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “Welcome to your Life” by Grouplove or “Weak” by AJR.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Mrs. Shupert, hilarious women and also a great role model – always excited to be here and I respect her.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Spotify, food and water.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? Happy, Job, married and kids.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? Go to Chicago with my mom.

 

Jessica Roberts

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I applied to Baylor, UGA, Tennessee, and Alabama and I am going to Baylor.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? I was part of the marching band, chapel band, theatre, Hand In Hand and student led worship.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Mitchell Robinson in 5th grade.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? On the Italy trip over the summer, we visited Saint Francis’ basilica. We went into the part that had his tomb, and we were supposed to be completely silent. While we were going down the stairs, I slipped and fell down and screamed really loudly. Everyone was looking at me for 1. falling and 2. screaming, so it was really embarrassing.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? Taken an art class.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “Let the Good Times Roll” by Ben Rector.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Mrs. Thompson because she’s awesome and so fun to talk to, also I think her job is super cool. She has the best office and she gets to hear about happy things like college decisions!
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? My guitar, Diet Dr. Pepper and a boat.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? Hopefully I’ll be married, have a job in the music business, and living in New York City.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? I would get all my family and friends together, go to the lake, and have a huge bonfire with s’mores and just be with the people I love.

 

Mitchell Robinson

  1. What colleges are you applying to? Clemson.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Football and soccer.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Barrett Ramsey (current is Eulaya).
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? Getting “catfished” by the football team.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? Continued to play in Chapel Band.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “Love is an Open Door” from Frozen.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Coach Khedouri, because I would like to know what is like to have a bald head.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Lotso, a set of dumbbells and Beej.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? Debt free.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? Take a nap with the Beej.

 

Anna Roy

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I applied to UGA, Auburn, Ole Miss and South Carolina. I will be attending the University of South Carolina.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? I did swimming and football cheerleading all four years. I was involved in Wesleyan missions, Young Life and Freshman Senior girls’ bible study.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Nick Eversbusch in 7th grade.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? In 7th grade I was new to Wesleyan and I was trying out for football cheerleading. I didn’t know anyone and I was super nervous. When I got to the actual tryout, I was so nervous that I forgot all the words and motions and all the older cheerleaders had to help me. I could tell they were all so embarrassed for me. I was mortified. Let’s just say I’m glad very few 7th graders were trying out or else there is no way I would have made the cheer team.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? Played soccer.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “Little Talks” by Of Monsters and Men.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Mrs. Morris because her sense of humor is incredible and I hope to be like her when I’m older. She is also the best advisor by far.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Music, the Harry Potter book series and an unlimited supply of sour patch kids.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? Honestly can’t say because I change what I want my life to be like every day. Whatever I’m doing I just hope I’m happy. I guess I could say I hope I’m living in a big apartment in New York with Olivia Jordan.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? Probably do my favorite thing which is eat lots of junk food and binge watch Netflix. A plane/car ride is a waste of my remaining 24 hours. I would also probably invite a priest over to make me feel more comfortable that my next destination is Heaven.

 

Emily Sabonis-Chafee

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I was accepted to Appalachian State, GCSU, Belmont and Elon.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Theatre. Lots of theatre.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Grant Marshall.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? I really don’t think I can pick just one.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? Probably either color guard or winter guard.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “One Hundred Sleepless Nights” by Pierce the Veil.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Madame McCauley. Because she is pretty great at everything.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Music, music and more music.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? Stable.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? Drive to the middle of a deserted field and lay down.

 

Connor Seim

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I’m going to Auburn in the fall.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Tennis, Marching Band and Mission Trips.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Lauren Alexander in 6th grade.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? When I first went skiing in 5th grade up in Vermont, I was taking some lessons and everything was going pretty well at first. I thought my skiing was ok, but it turned out I was wrong. My group and I were standing in line to go up the lift when I started sliding a little bit and I couldn’t stop. I ended up knocking over the person in front of me and then they knocked over another person kind of like dominos. I was just sitting there with the two people staring at me and the kids in my group laughing.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? I wish I had done better freshman year.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “No shoes, No shirt, No problem” by Kenny Chesney.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Senor Vallejo because he’s a great teacher and is nice to everyone in the school.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? A speaker with music, a massive bag of Cape Cod barbecue chips and a lot of water.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? Have a great job and a great relationship with my girlfriend or wife.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? Spend a lot of time with my family either at the beach or the lake and then go skydiving.

 

Jessie Smith

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I applied to UGA, Biola, and Wheaton. I’m going to Wheaton College, in Chicago, next year!
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Lots of Theater, Cross Country, Lit Mag and Prom Committee.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? My first real crush was Sid Brendel, sophomore year.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? I have many, but I still turn red when I think about the time that I stood up in front of the entire high school as a freshman and promoted the ill-fated British Club in a British accent.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? I wish that I had started running cross country as a freshman.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “A Head Full of Dreams” by Coldplay.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Like most seniors, I would like to be Mrs. Morris. She is just so witty and smart and everything you hope to be as an adult.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? My Bible, a copy of Jane Eyre and so many Muji pens.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? Hopefully, I am married and working in the film industry while eating a lot of ice cream and running marathons, not at the same time, of course.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? I would want to fly to London with my family so that I could experience what it is like to actually be in England and breathe British air. Then, we would go have a proper British tea together, with lots of scones, and spend the evening walking around the streets of London.

 

Wyatt Stall

  1. What colleges are you applying to? I am going to Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? Lacrosse and water polo.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Jameson Kavel in 5th grade.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? My most embarrassing moment is one time I went to my local sports clips and I had to get a mullet because I lost a bet. One of the women working there calls my name and she asks what kind of hair style I want. I say I would like a mullet please and she has no clue what that is, so she yells in the packed sports clips if anyone knows how to cut a mullet and everyone in the story laughed at me. Now every time I go there the hair cutters call me mullet boy.
  5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? Student Government.
  6. What is the theme song to your life? “Fight Night” by Migos.
  7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Mr. Cole. I do not know him at all, but he seems like a cool guy who I would get along with.
  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? I would want my truck, yeti cooler in the back and my best friend Kamal to keep me company.
  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? I hope that I would have won the lottery by then so I hopefully will not have a corporate job. Hopefully I will just be a stay at home dad who gets overly involved in my kids’ sport teams.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? I would probably steal a car and start getting into street races and I would obviously be super successful at that so I would bet all the money I made from street racing on red at the roulette table and win. Then I would take all my money and burn it to stick it to corporate.
