  1. What colleges are you applying to? Definitely Elon University and UGA. Probably George Washington University, University of Central Florida, Mercer University and Belmont University.
  2. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Sam Cupples in kindergarten.
  3. What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? Once during recess in lower school, I was reading a book and was really enthralled in the story, and I didn’t hear the bell ring to go back inside. When I finished the book, I looked up to see an entirely abandoned playground. I had to go into the front office, try to explain what happened and wait for them to look up where my class was so I could go join them.
  4. What will you miss most about Wesleyan? The access to so many diverse activities, friends I’ve known for almost my whole life and teachers I can candidly talk with.
  5. What is one thing you wished you had done in High School? I wish I’d grown a little taller, but the Miracle Grow just didn’t work.
  6. What are three things you cannot live without? A good book, a fluffy blanket and a warm, quiet mountaintop.
  7. What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? It changed every week from astronaut to chocolate factory owner, but I mainly wanted to be a zookeeper (only for tigers.) Turns out, I’m allergic to cats, so now I hope to be a journalist (shout out to the Green & Gold) or a museum curator – something where I can see the world.

Daniel O’Sullivan

  2. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? George Bielan in kindergarten.
  3. What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? Last year, I was walking up from the lakefields and I took off my blazer and carried it on my arm. But little did I know, several feminine products fell out of my pockets onto the street. At first, I thought the large group of males walking behind me were snickering just because, but then Sutton West told me the devastating truth that they were whispering about me. I turned around to see this travesty. The worst part was sitting in the hallway and hearing people say, “Did you see what was in the crosswalk?” Well, for all those who are still wondering, yep, it was me.
  4. What will you miss most about Wesleyan? Sage’s house-baked cookies, the amazing faculty and the community spirit.
  5. What is one thing you wished you had done in High School? Cross country, Hand-in-Hand, water polo and academic bowl.
  6. What are three things you cannot live without? Peanut Butter, stories in their various forms (movies, books, TV, music etc.) and durable ponytail holders for my mane.
  7. What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? When I was a little kid, I desperately wanted to be an artist of some kind, but particularly for the longest time, I wanted to be an Oscar-winning actress. Now I really have no idea what I want to do, but I know I want it to be a position where I can bring people together, inspire them and help them in some way, big or small. But, I think a traveling journalist or presidential speechwriter wouldn’t be bad gigs.

Ashton Cameron

  1. What colleges are you applying to? TCU, UGA, Auburn and WashU in St. Louis.
  2. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Stewart Stamper in fifth grade.
  3. What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? Sophomore year on the ski retreat we went night skiing, and it was just not a great experience for me. I was under the impression that the run I was about to go down was a blue, but it was, in fact, a black diamond called “Plunge.” The conditions were terrible, so I ended up getting stuck at the top of the run, and four people were trying to help me get out for 10 minutes. It was dark and freezing cold, so the whole was extremely dramatic at the moment. We come to find out that my boot wasn’t properly in the skis, and then I had to slowly make my way down the rest of the run while all my friends were waiting for me at the bottom.

Mr. Cleveland, if you are reading this, I accept your apology.
  4. What will you miss most about Wesleyan? The close-knit community. It’s so nice to know about everyone in the high school and have them know you. I’ve had close relationships with both upper and lower classmen, and I think that’s something special that Wesleyan has.

We had P.E. right after lunch and I went up to Billy and kicked him because I thought it would make me look tough. It’s a big deal when someone finds out you like them from someone else, especially when you’re a first grader.

  2. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Grace Halley.
  3. What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? At sophomore homecoming, Grace and I slow-danced, but she is half my height. When I was trying to meet her eyes, I quintuple-chinned hard. She looked like she was searching for her way out.
