What is one thing you wished you had done in High School? I wish I had won more state championships.
What are three things you cannot live without? My dog, Biscuit, Chick-Fil-A Breakfast and frilly socks.
What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? When I was a youngster I wanted to be a painter. Now I realize that I would like to afford to eat, my dream job is to be a graphic designer or creative director for a major company and eventually own a boutique in Charleston that sells vintage clothing and dog paintings.
Nico McKenzie
What colleges are you applying to? Auburn, UGA, University of Central Florida, Boston University and a few others.
Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Kylie Reed (still my crush).
What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? I was walking downstairs after math sophomore year, and someone dropped a Powerade bottle in front of me. I tripped on it and fell down the stairs. Then, I got up and didn’t realize that the Powerade bottle had spilled on the ground, so I continued walking down the second flight of stairs and slipped on the spilled Powerade and fell down the second flight of stairs. It was a terrible day.
What will you miss most about Wesleyan? The mission trips, and, of course, my friends.
What is one thing you wished you had done in High School? I wish I tried wrestling.
What are three things you cannot live without? “Stranger Things”, my phone and my incredible friends.
What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? I wanted to be a politician and become President of the United States. Now, I want to be an engineer, and I also want to write about the world’s technological advancements.
Suzanne Godard
What colleges are you applying to? UGA, Vanderbilt, Georgetown and William & Mary.
Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Brendan Abernathy, who was our tour guide at Wesleyan Open House.
What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? In Mr. Young’s eighth grade Bible class, I totally bombed the first quiz of the year (in my defense, so did everyone). He passed me in the hall a few days later and jokingly told me I better not fail anything again. I was so mortified that I never failed another quiz in his class.
What will you miss most about Wesleyan? I’ll miss getting to eat lunch with my mom every day.
What is one thing you wished you had done in High School? I wish I’d been able to take more art classes.
What are three things you cannot live without? Whole Foods, books and Love Crunch granola.
What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? When I was little, I always wanted to be a famous dancer, but now my dream job is a novelist.
Brooks Lalley
What colleges are you applying to? Biola, Chapman, UGA, Loyola Marymount, University of Southern California and UCLA.
Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Caroline Baisier.
What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? Junior year, Suzanne Godard and I got kicked out of Ken Connor’s Brit Lit class because we were being too “chatty.”
What will you miss most about Wesleyan? Mrs. Smith… and all of my friends.
What is one thing you wished you had done in High School? Diving.
What are three things you cannot live without? Spotify Premium, my car and Elise Harper.
What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? When I was little I wanted to be an avocado farmer in Homestead, Florida. Now I want to be a Hollywood Director, but my backup plan is still avocado farming.
Daniel Baisier
What colleges are you applying to? UVA, UNC, UGA, GT, Duke, Davidson, W&L, Wake Forest and more.
Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Lily Rudder in 6th grade.
What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? One night last year, Abby Gardner and I were FaceTime studying for government. As we were finishing up, my mother walked in to say good night to me. I said, as I usually do, “Good Night. I love you” to my mom. Abby thought I was talking to her, hastily replied, “Love you, too” and hung up.
What will you miss most about Wesleyan? The relationships that I’ve formed with people here, especially the Academic Bowl Team.
What is one thing you wished you had done in High School? I wish I had gone to the baseball state championship freshman year. I also regret not joining Omicron until this year.
What are three things you cannot live without? My family, sweet tea and my glasses/contacts.
What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? I don’t have an answer to either.
Payton Kaloper
What colleges are you applying to? I am going to Samford next year.
Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Garrett Hangartner.
What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? During junior year prom, my dress strap snapped in half during dinner and everyone saw. I made a huge scene.
What will you miss most about Wesleyan? I’ll miss the community of friends and teachers. I love Wesleyan.
What is one thing you wished you had done in High School? I wish I had done football cheerleading because it looks like so much fun, and I love the outfits!
What are three things you cannot live without? Madewell, my cats (Sunshine and Bodhi) and peanut butter.
What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? When I was little I wanted to be a professional ballerina and perform in the “Nutcracker” and “Coppélia,” but now I want to be a professional hairstylist/makeup artist, preferably for weddings.
Sam Dudley
What colleges are you applying to? Auburn and Clemson.
Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Caroline Gross.
What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? During a football game against Frederica Academy, I forgot the play and my dad, Coach Dudley, called a time out and yelled at me for not knowing what to do.
What will you miss most about Wesleyan? The sense of community surrounding the school.
What is one thing you wished you had done in High School? Summer reading.
What are three things you cannot live without? My family, my dogs and my Crocs.
What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? I always wanted to be a football coach as a kid, and that is still my dream job.
Sydney Anderson
What colleges are you applying to? I’m applying to Auburn, University of Tennessee and University of South Carolina.
Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Davis Moreland.
What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? When I first interviewed for Wesleyan in ninth grade, I showed up to the school with the entire back of my dress completely unzipped, and I had no idea. Luckily, Emma Watkins pulled me into a corner and zipped me up. This was the first time we met, and we’ve been best friends ever since.
What will you miss most about Wesleyan? I’ll miss all my friends, the teachers and the continuous opportunities Wesleyan provides me.
What is one thing you wished you had done in High School? I wish I continued running cross country my senior year. I was an awful runner, but I loved the people and the atmosphere.
What are three things you cannot live without? My car, Dr. Pepper and a few good books.
What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? When I was little, I wanted to work at the Georgia Aquarium and feed the whale sharks, but now I want to be a neurosurgeon.
