One day, before lunch, the teacher asked the class if anyone would like to pray to bless the food. Confidently, I raised my hand. During the prayer, I found myself nervously stumbling upon my words and instead of praying for “Jesus to help the people in Haiti” I accidentally muttered “Jesus, please help the pee pee in Haiti.” Then whole class erupted in laughter at my potty-language prayer.

What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? My first day ever at Wesleyan, I was putting books away in my locker right before the first class. One of the disadvantages of being a new student was not knowing how the lockers worked; my old school had locks built into the lockers, whereas Wesleyan lockers had actual locks. I proceeded to shut the locker door with the lock turned backwards (“backlocking” for you non-veterans of middle school), which was a problem considering that the books I needed for my first class were still in my locker. I ended up earning the title of “New Kid Who Backlocked Himself” to my first period class, and Chandler Center (God bless him) had to help me un-backlock myself so I could get my books.

If you know me, you know I laugh at myself, so I laughed my way through the rest of the presentation and barely got through it.

What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? I was Judas in “Godspell” last year, and during a certain song, I had to use a prop cane. This cane was retractable and was made of metal, so when I pulled the lock on it, it would extend to a full cane. The only issue with the cane is that it was very hard to close. In our Thursday show, I finished the song and went behind a table on-stage to close the cane, but as I was closing it, the cane popped open and smacked me in the hand. I thought it would be fine, so I keep acting and pressing my hand on my bleach white pants to alleviate the pain. Fast-forward a minute and I look down and my thumb is profusely bleeding, and my pants have a massive red stain on them. I immediately had an on-stage panic attack due to my fear of blood, and as I walked off-stage, I fainted.
