Although millions of people in the United States were born on Jan. 15th, only one man has the honor of having the day be dedicated to his life and accomplishments. This man made equality his mantra, made freedom burn in the hearts and minds of all those who suffered from racial oppression and made change his life’s work. This man has earned commendation and respect not only from African Americans, but from people of all colors and races. Lionized in history as a pioneer of the Civil Rights Movement, he was an advocate for non-violent protest and had a dream to see a world where skin color is not the foremost authority. What colleges are you applying to? UGA, Georgia College, Sewanee and Birmingham Southern.

Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Anna Kate Johnson.

What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? In third grade at lunch, I drank 13 cartons of milk solely because Josh Price told me I couldn’t. Apparently 12 cartons of milk was a record, so I had to break it… about five minutes after lunch, I threw up in the hallway as I headed to my next class.

What will you miss most about Wesleyan? Matty Means (Matthew Means), my Grandpa (Coach Khedouri) and Friday night lights.

What is one thing you wished you had done in High School? A play.

What are three things you cannot live without? Kenny Chesney, slippers and asparagus.

What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? When I was little it was to be an astronaut, but now, I want to be a physical therapist.

After enjoying the Great Atlantan Snowstorm of December 2017, Wesleyan students were dreaming of a “White Christmas.” High school students had the opportunity to fulfill dreams of east-coast snow when they hit the slopes of Winterplace Ski Resort on the Christian Life Ski Retreat.

From the Olympic trials to the torch relays, the opening ceremonies, the Games and finally to the closing ceremonies, the Olympic Games are a world-wide event that bring a competitive spirit to the world along with uniting the world through this competition. The 14-day games consist of various winter sports including curling, snowboarding, speed skating, ice hockey, figure skating and many more. The 2018 Winter Olympics will be held in PyeongChang, South Korea (about two hours away from Seoul). The event’s estimated cost is only $10 billion. While that seems expensive, in comparison to the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, it is five times less expensive. Keep Reading
