What college are you going to/ applying to?

My top choice is UGA, but I am also applying to FSU, Clemson, Notre Dame, UNC, UT Austin, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, GCSU, the University of South Carolina and of course Epic Bible College.

Who was your first Wesleyan crush? When?

Avery Beall in eighth grade.

If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you?

That one jar of dirt from “Pirates of the Caribbean”, a life-sized cutout of Danny DeVito and a hard copy of essay option #3 on the Common App. Looking for a challenge.

What was your dream job when you were a little kid verses what is your dream job now?

When I was younger, I wanted to be the type of engineer that designs roller coasters for a living until I realized that I was mediocre at math and science. Now, I would love to practice entertainment law.

Where do you expect to see yourself in 10 years?

Living in an apartment in Boston with my roommates: Hannibal Buress, Hunter Suits, Will Parrish, Donald Conley and Senõr Vallejo.

What was your most embarrassing moment at Wesleyan?  

The entirety of eighth grade.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

Honestly, I am fine with any meal for the rest of my life as long as it does not come from Romeo’s New York Style Pizza.

What are you most excited and scared for when entering your first year of college?

I am excited to find out where I am going and live the college life, but I am scared to leave my homies.

Emily Becker

What college are you going to/ applying to?

Georgia, Tennessee, Clemson, Auburn, Notre Dame and Tulane.

 Who was your first Wesleyan crush? When?

Will Stakel, sophomore year.

 If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you?

My dog Buddy, Chick-fil-A and my cowboy hat.

 What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now?

I wanted to be a doctor when I was little, and now I want to be a surgeon.

 Where do you expect to see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully married with two golden retrievers named Bailey and Bear.

 What was your most embarrassing moment at Wesleyan?  

During my sophomore year at Alex Cope’s after party, I was standing in front of the fridge, and Chase Hill came and awkwardly stood next to me. He goes “Hi Emily” and reaches out his hand. I gave him a hug because I did not want to be awkward, and he goes, “Actually, I was just reaching for a drink” and I said, “Same.”

 If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

Milkshakes.

 What are you most excited and scared for when entering your first year of college?

Meeting new people.

 

Ashley Cowart

What college are you going to/ applying to?

Auburn, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Alabama and Georgia Southern.

Who was your first Wesleyan crush? When?

Ryan Anderson in first grade.

If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you?

Kodi (my dog), my phone and Gushers gummies.

What was your dream job when you were a little kid verses what is your dream job now?

When I was a little kid, I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. Now I want to be a NICU Nurse at a hospital in Colorado.

Where do you expect to see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully I will have a successful nursing career with a husband, two or more kids and three black Labradors. Along with living in Colorado and skiing in my free time.

What was your most embarrassing moment at Wesleyan?

In eighth grade during field day, my team was playing in the faculty vs. student basketball game. I was so excited to play in the game. While I thought I was decent at basketball, looking back I was so bad at it. Of course, the teachers were going to win, but I tried so hard to win that game. During the game I literally tackled Mr./Coach Myrick, and I was knocked to the ground. It was so embarrassing.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

BBQ salmon, grits and sweet tea from Atlanta Fish Market.

What are you most excited and scared for when entering your first year of college?

I am excited to be in a bigger community, living on my own and being independent. I am also scared about all the changes because I have been at Wesleyan since kindergarten, and I do not know any different.

 

Jamie LaFramboise

What college are you going to/ applying to?

Centre College.

Who was your first Wesleyan crush? When?

Whitaker Welch, sophomore year.

If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you?

My dog, my other dog and music.

What was your dream job when you were a little kid verses what is your dream job now?

Train conductor vs financial analyst for a pro sports team.

Where do you expect to see yourself in 10 years?

Working for a big company in finance or economics.

What was your most embarrassing moment at Wesleyan?

When Mrs. Godard posted my poem in the Lit Mag without my knowledge.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

Pizza.

What are you most excited and scared for when entering your first year of college?

I am excited to play baseball for four more years but scared to live on my own.

 

Emrie Harbour

What college are you going to/ applying to?

Baylor and Auburn University.

Who was your first Wesleyan crush? When?

Colton Villa in second grade.

If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you?

Lime La Croix, my flat iron and my phone.

What was your dream job when you were a little kid verses what is your dream job now?

For as long as I can remember I wanted to be an interior designer, but my current dream job is to be a sports psychologist.

Where do you expect to see yourself in 10 years?

Married and with my first kid.

What was your most embarrassing moment at Wesleyan?

I was new coming in freshman year, and I was in history class. It was the first time that I had class in the library. This day I happened to be feeling sick, and I was really out of it. I decided to go to the bathroom and not paying any attention at all I walked into the boy’s bathroom. I turned the corner, locking eyes in the mirror with some guy that was washing his hands. To this day, I do not know who it was, but sorry if you know it was me that walked in.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

I would definitely have a Chipotle bowl for the rest of my life.

What are you most excited and scared for when entering your first year of college?

I am most excited to meet new people and create more lasting friendships. I am most scared about being prepared for my classes or for being away from my mom and brother for long periods of time.

 

Donovan Simmons

What college are you going to/ applying to?

University of Southern Cal, NYU, UGA and George Washington.

Who was your first Wesleyan crush? When?

Emily Gaddis in seventh grade.

If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you?

I would bring cookie dough, mangoes and bacon.

What was your dream job when you were a little kid verses what is your dream job now?

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a scientist. Now, I want to be a forensic psychiatrist.

Where do you expect to see yourself in 10 years?

I hope to have a residency in Los Angeles.

What was your most embarrassing moment at Wesleyan? 

My most embarrassing moment at Wesleyan was when I passed out in my costume backstage during the eighth-grade play.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

I would eat only eat bacon cheeseburgers.

What are you most excited and scared for when entering your first year of college?

I am most excited about being independent in a new location, and I am most scared about whether I would have picked the right school.

 

Jayla Jones

What college are you going to/ applying to?

UGA.

Who was your first Wesleyan crush? When?

JD Kavel in sixth grade.

If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you?

A machete, a blanket and matches.

What was your dream job when you were a little kid verses what is your dream job now?

It is still the same as it was when I was a kid. I have always wanted to be a vet, and I plan to do so as my career.

Where do you expect to see yourself in 10 years?

I expect to be an equine practitioner and surgeon, as well as own a horse or two.

What was your most embarrassing moment at Wesleyan? 

When Jameson Kavel and Mikayla Coombs sent an email to JD and I about how we both set records at the same track meet and would be a cute couple that could run together.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

Pepperoni pizza.

What are you most excited and scared for when entering your first year of college?

I am most excited to experience a wider variety of people, but I am not quite comfortable with being away from home and from my circle of friends and family.

 

Lizzy Stainback

What college are you going to/ applying to?

I am applying to the University of Evansville, Belmont, Florida State and GCSU.

Who was your first Wesleyan crush? When?

Adam Rogers in Kindergarten.

If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you?

My backpack, my camera and a jet ski.

What was your dream job when you were a little kid verses what is your dream job now?

When I was a little kid, I wanted to be either a chef or a musician. Now, I still want to be a kind of musician. I want to be a music therapist and either work in a hospital or start my own practice.

Where do you expect to see yourself in 10 years?

I would like to be finished with my masters in music therapy, practicing therapy somewhere and married to my soulmate. Above all, in 10 years I want to be happy wherever I am.

What was your most embarrassing moment at Wesleyan?  

When I was in seventh grade, we were doing “Joseph” as our spring musical. I had been sick all weekend, and we had rehearsal on Monday. I barely had a voice, but the director still asked me to sing, and I was too scared to say I could not, so I tried. We got to a really high part in the song, and my voice cracked. Every single person in the cast slowly turned around to look at me. I ran off stage and cried in the dressing room for the rest of rehearsal.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

So, ice cream is not a meal, but ice cream.

What are you most excited and scared for when entering your first year of college?

I am really excited for the new experiences that come with college, and I am so excited to study something I love and I am very passionate about. I am applying to three schools that are out of the state, and my dream school is six and a half hours away, so I guess I am scared of being a little far from home. I have lived in Georgia my whole life, so I am a little apprehensive of being hours away.
