As the school year comes to an end, many special senior events were planned for the Class of 2020. Exciting events and activities such as riding scooters, senior chapel and screaming Psalm 24 are some of the special events that every graduating class before was able to experience. Spring of senior year is supposed to be a time for seniors to reminisce on their high school years and look forward to their upcoming transition to college. When the beginning of the school year started in August, many last events were occurring for the seniors, and no one predicted the last events would come so soon for all of the seniors. While distance learning is still going on, the last day on campus was March 12 for all Wesleyan students. With the closure of school for the remainder of the school year, the entire Wesleyan community is affected, but this pandemic is especially affecting the class of 2020. Keep Reading
The donation of blood can save many lives, and the demand for blood is always high. For the past few years, Wesleyan has hosted a blood drive through the American Red Cross. This year, the blood drive was hosted on Jan. 31 in honor of fifth grader Lex Stolle. Keep Reading
The new year has many technology upgrades in store for Wesleyan faculty, students and the IT department. After three years with the Lenovo Think Pad, Wesleyan IT has decided to upgrade to new laptops. Many students have been curious about the new upgrade, wondering when it will occur, and what new computers the students and faculty will receive. Keep Reading
Over the years, Peachtree Corners has been rising in population and will continue to boom due to the businesses and corporations that have been built in the popular city. Many large businesses have developed, and the new upcoming RaceTrac is no exception. While there are many popular places that students often visit after school, a question arose: Will RaceTrac become the new place to hang out or will QuikTrip continue to be the most popular gas station for snacks and gas after school? The new RaceTrac is currently being built and will be a 5,000 square-foot store that will sit on eight acres of land. It is expected to be finished being built, in 2020.
