Netflix Shows to Binge Watch Over Christmas Break

Wesleyan has two weeks off for Christmas Break. There is time to spend with family and to eat food, but more importantly there is time to catch up on your Netflix shows. The Green and Gold staff asked several high school students which Netflix shows are their favorite that they would suggest for others to watch. Here are their responses for optimal binge watching, spanning across a variety of genres. Happy viewing.

Backstage of Sage: The Inside Scoop

Whether it is in lower school, middle school or in high school, the students and faculty get the privilege of eating lunch made by Sage Dining. The Green & Gold went “behind the scenes” of Sage Dining to discover more about what the staff does on a daily basis.

One new component that was introduced to the high school this year was the self-serve hot line, rather than staff-served.

Sage Dining manager Jason Meyers said, “The amount of food preparation has definitely increased since self-service has been introduced. Currently, most students load up their plate because the concept is new, and they don’t want to get back in line. I believe it will eventually smooth out.” Keep Reading

Wesleyan Gives Back at Lower School Gratitude Chapel

Facilities are like the undercover celebrities of Wesleyan School; they are known and loved by nearly everyone and are always providing for those on campus, whether they realize it or not.

Since the facilities workers are constantly keeping the school up and running in tip-top shape, the lower school students were given an opportunity to say thank you. During the chapel of Nov. 9, every unit of Wesleyan facilities was recognized. Groundskeepers, housekeeping, and Sage Dining chefs were called up to the stage, where they were thanked and applauded for their service to the school. They were also given a “Thanksgiving Blessing Basket” as well as a small monetary gift, both courtesy of lower school families. Keep Reading

Christmas is known as the “most wonderful time of the year,” but everyone has a different reason why Christmas is their favorite time of the year. Every family has different Christmas traditions and a different way to celebrate. The Green and Gold asked around Wesleyan to see what some of these different traditions are.
