Daughters Dance on Dads’ Toes

The annual Lower School Daddy Daughter Dance knocked the girls off their feet. The Lower School cafeteria transformed into a pink, red and white ballroom for a special night that fathers and daughters will never forget. When the term slavery comes up in today’s culture, it is easy to think of it as a crime of the past. But in fact, it is the exact opposite. The estimated number of slaves around the world today is around 40 million, which is higher than it was when slavery was legal throughout the 19th century. And the number of enslaved people is constantly increasing. Today, slavery is the fastest growing crime in the world (End It Movement).

Wet Wolves Take State

The Wesleyan Wet Wolves competed in the State Swim and Dive Meet at Georgia Tech Feb. 8 and 9. The boys team placed fourth and the girls finished third.

“My general goal as a coach is for the swimmers to reach our full potential, we did that,” said Head Coach Kevin Kadzis. This state team was the smallest team in years, but they did not fail to come out of the two day meet with medals around their necks. “Certain things do not change in a season, but the unique mix of people make each season different and memorable,” said Kadzis.
