By a Slim Margin, the Tide Defeats the Bulldogs Once Again

Hearts pounding. Nerves rattling. Football is just a game, right? Wrong. Tears, confetti, fans fleeing and fists in the air. One is a champion and one fell to defeat. This game was not an ordinary conference championship game. It meant more. There was history between the coaches, the teams and the fan bases. On the field, battling it out to decide the others fate, and the victorious champions of the SEC are the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Money flying in the air, did someone just waste it or spend it wisely?  Alabama and Georgia were back at it again. As for Georgia fans that phrase leaves a bitter taste in their mouths. And, for Alabama fans, it is always sweet. This was supposed to be revenge in the Benz for the dawgs, but they failed to complete the mission.

College Football: Who Will Re19n This Year?

Although the months of Aug. and Sept. are usually poignant reminders of the beginning of school, in the world of sports these months are a sign of excitement and feelings of hope for victory in the months to come. College football is a great time for college students to bond, diehard fans to rival against each other and bandwagon fans to resort to the team coming out on top. Although football is not for everyone, the atmosphere of college football is a treat in itself, even without the football.

The previous college football season ended on, well, not that much of a shocker. The Alabama Crimson Tide was victorious and defeated the Georgia Bulldogs in overtime, with a pass into the endzone leaving Georgia fans in tears and Alabama fans in triumph, yet again. UGA fanatic and junior Josh Morris said, “by far the Most upsetting event last season was watching Georgia lose to Alabama in the National Championship.” After feeling like their football team was going to do it after 37 years, Georgia fans were in dismay, but the team and fans are hoping to have bounced back ready to attack the day this season.

National Championship: Crimson Tide Washes Over The Georgia Bulldogs In Overtime

Billions of seconds, thousands of heartbeats, two teams, one champion. On Jan. 8 the Georgia Bulldogs faced the Alabama Crimson Tide in Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. Although the match-up was not the most critically acclaimed due to both teams coming from the SEC, the race to the finish proved to be one hard fought battle.

At halftime, the Georgia Bulldogs led 13-0 and the future seemed very bright for the “Junkyard Dawgs.” However, poor execution, very controversial referee mistakes and conservative mind-sets caused the Dawgs to cry tears of defeat, instead of triumph.
