There’s “Snow” Place Like Winterplace

After enjoying the Great Atlantan Snowstorm of December 2017, Wesleyan students were dreaming of a “White Christmas.” High school students had the opportunity to fulfill dreams of east-coast snow when they hit the slopes of Winterplace Ski Resort on the Christian Life Ski Retreat.

As we come toward the end of the year, the Christian Life theme starts to hit its main focus. This focus starts with March’s theme, “you are a child of God.” Once a person devotes themselves to Christ, they become a Citizen of Heaven and being a Citizen of Heaven also means you are a child of God.

The verses for the month are John 1:12-13 and Romans 8:14-16. John 1:12-13 reads “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” Romans 8:14-16 “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” Keep Reading
