What colleges are you applying to? I am going to University of Wisconsin.

Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Jaucqir Lafond.

What was your most embarrassing Wesleyan moment? When I was in sixth grade, I had a crush on Matt Adent. My friend Abby told people about it, and then everyone seemed to know. I sat near Matt in homeroom and every day I just wanted to hide! AH!

What will you miss most about Wesleyan? Being able to talk to teachers openly and honestly and being able to work with them to make my life a bit easier at times.

What is one thing you wished you had done in high school? I wish I hadn’t stressed as much, which would have been easier if I had not procrastinated as much.

What are three things you cannot live without? Animals, yummy food and comfy outfits.

What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now? When I was a little kid, I wanted to work with animals at a zoo, and take care of exotic animals. Now, I don’t know what I want to do. Keep Reading

Behind the Beauty

“Beauty and the Beast” is a musical that allows all kinds of people to join together to bring a shared love of music and the arts to life. For this year’s musical, students from ninth to twelfth grade, as well as one fourth grader, have come together to bring this show to life. For three months, students, teachers and parents alike have worked tirelessly to make sure the show comes to fruition.

Wesleyan Service Day Makes an Impact

Service Day was a chance for all Wesleyan students to get out and make a difference for others. Wesleyan students are incredibly fortunate to work at a school with such a dedicated staff and facilities crew, and the students were excited to be able to give back.

The first of a planned series of annual Service Days offered many opportunities to serve. Omicron Service Society Director Nathan Emmelhainz said, “[Service Day first came to fruition when] Kelsey Rappe came up with the idea (she remembered both 8^th grade service day, and the HS service day that her older siblings did years ago). 5-10 years ago there was an annual service day that was a day of no classes for the whole high school. This was changed with an intent to have service always be voluntary – rather than compulsory. This year’s event was entirely voluntary, and was sufficiently successful that we will try it again next year. It will remain voluntary – as an option on PSAT day.”
