2019: The New Era of Disney Movies

This year, Disney will release new live-animated versions of their old movies as well as sequences such as “Frozen 2” and “Toy Story 4.” The Disney movies making headlines which are set to be released this year are “Dumbo,” “The Lion King,” “Toy Story 4” and “Aladdin.”

Most of the original movies like “Aladdin” and “The Lion King” were initially released in the 1990s. These movies were a success as the films are still talked about today and were now created in a new-live action adaptation.

Wesleyan Honors Local Heroes on Veterans Day

For technology specialist and veteran Cristian Piedra, nothing says “thank you” to American heroes like 1,500 members of the Wesleyan community gathered in Yancey Gymnasium to celebrate Veterans Day. “We don’t ask for anything as servicemen, and the fact that we are recognized and celebrated is more than enough.”

Cross Country Team Blazes into the New Season

Now that the school year has begun anew, the eruption of fall sports fills the Wesleyan community, and with this eruption comes the new cross country season.

The start of the new season began on July 24 at 8 a.m. when 98 members of the team traveled to Sevierville, Tennessee to the Wilderness in the Smokies Hotel and Indoor Waterpark to undertake three days of hard training and an exorbitant amount of fun.

Each day, all members of the cross country team rose bright and early for a grueling run in mountainous terrain to prepare for the new season ahead. Although there was plenty of difficult training, there was also plenty of opportunities for rest and recovery. This included swimming in freezing rivers, relaxing in Enos, bonding with teammates and riding enormous waterslides.
