There’s “Snow” Place Like Winterplace

After enjoying the Great Atlantan Snowstorm of December 2017, Wesleyan students were dreaming of a “White Christmas.” High school students had the opportunity to fulfill dreams of east-coast snow when they hit the slopes of Winterplace Ski Resort on the Christian Life Ski Retreat.

A Year In Review: Wesleyan Edition

This past 2016-17 school year was one to remember. Take a trip down memory lane as the  Green & Gold staff looks back at some of the most memorable events of the year!
August: The Rio Olympics was a huge success for the United States, with 46 gold medals, 37 silver medals and 38 bronze medals. The 2016 Summer Olympics also featured countless historic and memorable moments such as gymnast Simone Biles’ breakout performace    with the “Final Five” women’s gymnastics team and Michael Phelps’ final Olympic Games and record breaking accumulation of his 23rd gold medal. On Aug. 8, Freshmen and Seniors ventured to Carolina Point for the pre-school Freshman Retreat. New students were introduced to Wesleyan culture and get to know new friends and peer leaders. Wesleyan Students Hit the Slopes

While most Wesleyan students spent the weekend sleeping in, watching Netflix and sleeping some more, others joined the Christian Life Ski Retreat that was this past MLK, Jr. weekend, Jan. 13 to Jan. 16 in Ghent, WV.  The trip is available for every grade in the high school; it is first come, first serve signup.

A group of 50 students and five faculty members traveled up to Winterplace Ski Resort to hit the slopes. They left before school Friday morning and drove seven hours on a charter bus, only stopping twice for lunch and to pick up their skis. Keep Reading
