Who was your first Wesleyan crush? When?

Lindsay Rappe in kindergarten.

If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you?

A phone, a cellular tower and Braden Thorne’s angelic vocals.

What was your dream job when you were a little kid versus what is your dream job now?

Actor versus Actor.

Where do you expect to see yourself in 10 years?

Being an actor.

What was your most embarrassing moment at Wesleyan?

One time, I forgot to come onstage for a good seven minutes and the cast was running around looking for me. The orchestra was playing in a vamp for the whole time and the audience was incredibly confused. They found me later just hanging out upstairs. Also, I never went on stage. Carter Gravitt just said my lines.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be? Sushi.

What are you most excited and scared for when entering your first year of college?

Saying goodbye to my friends of old.

Fall Sports Recap 2019

As the winter season of 2019 approaches, the Wesleyan fall sports are coming to an end. Each team has trained hard over the summer into the fall to complete a successful season that has made Wesleyan proud. Each team has shown dedication to their sport and the school by training rigorously to gain both victories and humbling experiences this fall. The outcome of each of these five sports has made this season one of Wesleyan’s best.

Water Polo:

The water polo team has just ended their best season since 2015, with an impressive eight wins, eight losses and one tie out of their seventeen games. Coach Kevin Kadzis said success was achieved this season from commitment by the team to playing their unique style of water polo. Kadzis said their best game took place in September, when the team beat Collins Hill High School even though they were down one player, and it was “awesome to see our team work together and overcome the odds to beat a good team when we were at a disadvantage.” The season started right after school began in August and ended on Sept. 29, and Kadzis said seniors Connor Beaty, Will Miller, Jack Godfrey and Isaiah Erb were the team’s leaders. Kadzis said, “We couldn’t have had a non-losing season without these guys,” showing the enthusiasm and diligence of this season’s water polo team. Keep Reading

Wesleyan’s mission is to strive towards offering service however possible. Service comes in many different forms and for various reasons. As Head of School Chris Cleveland said, “We seek to install a heart of service to our students.” On Nov. 11, the Wesleyan community gathered to celebrate a specific type of service: the service of the many veterans who have fought to keep our country safe.

From exercising, to learning a new skill, there is no better time to make a resolution for yourself than the turn of the new year. It is almost 2020 and time for a new beginning. There are lots of exciting times and memories of 2019 coming to an end, but what does that mean for the new year? People make mistakes, and now is a perfect time to change lives for the better. All around the globe, people are longing for new opportunities, new relationships and hopefully a better year. This is generally what is going on in the minds of resolution makers at this time of the year.

Resolutions can either be a great way to motivate a person, or they can be unreachable and can set one up to fail. According to the New York Post, “55% of New Year’s resolutions were health related.” Most people around the world want to make themselves better by getting rid of old and bad habits.
