10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? I would thank all the people who made a difference in my life.

Maddie Pickard:

1.  What colleges are you applying to? I am going to Clemson.
2. What were you involved with in high school? Cross Country, Volleyball, Lacrosse, Mock Trial, Yearbook, Prom Committee, Missions Club, Young Life, and various Bible Studies.
3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Cole Mannion in maybe 5th grade. I did not go to Wesleyan yet, but I met him at Clint’s lake house.
4. What is your most embarrassing moment? At Woodward, all the arts programs went once a year to Disney Land for a concert to perform in 8th grade. I went for honors chorus (shocker, I know) and we went to Universal. On the way home, they decided to stop at a water park with a bunch of other schools. So, I was with a group of girls and guys from my school on top of a water slide and there was this super cute group of guys behind us. The girls all turned around and started talking to them and I have no idea why but I zoned out and all the sudden, I heard my friend tell this super cute guy that he has really nice eyes. I snappeded out of it and screamed, “YEAH, YOUR EYES” and everyone went silent and I just turned around and hid behind the guys from my school….it was great. This pretty much still sums up my flirting abilities today.
5. What is one thing you wish you had done in high school? More art classes instead of so much required Bible.
6. What is the theme song to your life? “Beautiful Disaster” by Jon McLaughlin.
7. If you could be any faculty member, who would you be? Why? Mrs. Andrea Shupert. The sass on that woman is so real and no one says anything about it because we all just accept it. I swear she is going to scream “Is it a funny story now?” as I walk down graduation. She is the perfect combination of sass and caring. She just genuinely cares about her students and I love her devotionals and our class relationship updates. She is just a very easy person to get close to after you get past all the sass. Pretty great gal.
8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? Any form of electronics that can give me Netflix, sunglasses, and my cats whom I dislike very much.
9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? I would just hope I am happy in the place I am at that point in my life. Hopefully, recently happily married and thinking about kids for the future. Definitely have a house with the hubby and some big dogs. And not living in Georgia, but probably staying in the south because no one likes Northerners. Living somewhere new, working as a graphic designer, just living my 20’s focusing on my friends and new family and growing my life for later.
10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? I guess I would just do everything I do not have the courage to do now. I am someone who gets really worried about what people think and rejection, so if I had nothing to regret tomorrow I would just do everything that I would have typically been too nervous or scared to do or say.
