  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? In 9th grade, (Pre-Wesleyan) when I walked into the Dining Hall, it was packed with around 550 students. In my peripheral vision I saw someone spill literally a pile of lasagna and sweet tea off their lunch tray onto the floor. A few seconds later, I saw my friend in the lunch line and decided the most prudent thing to do was to run to the lunch line in order to jump in line with her. Unfortunately, I had forgotten the event that had just transpired. My friend started shaking her head frantically, but it was too late. My heel slipped on the lasagna-sweet tea combo freshly splashed on the floor of the lunchroom. My feet went skyward as my skull rocketed toward the ground; however, I prevented myself from getting a concussion by grabbing the railing bordering the lunch line at the last second, saving me from a little more humiliation than I had just endured in the last two seconds. The plethora of students in the lunchroom were laughing hysterically at me. My sister was a senior at the time, and she refused to speak to me at school for the next few days.

  1. What colleges are you applying to? UNC, UGA and Emory.
  2. What were you involved with in high school? A whoooole lot of theater.
  3. Who was your first Wesleyan crush? Drew Freeman – definitely the Into the Woods princely smolder.
  4. What is your most embarrassing moment? I was the only member of our Kiss Me Kate cast raging around onstage during a rehearsal, screaming “I Hate Men” and throwing things. I had just finished the ending shriek to a line of lyrics and was looking for the next thing to attack, and in a moment of excitement, I grabbed the edges of the table beside me and flipped it with as much of a dramatic effect as I could muster. The table smashed loudly into the ground and with no escape, I watched as one leg of the table snapped off and rolled across the stage, stopping the entire song for my cast to burst into laughter and my directors to scramble. And the replacement table they built? Happy opening night! Leandro Haddad and I were nearly dumped into the orchestra pit by more combusting table legs.

  9. What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years? I hope, though I’ll certainly still have no idea what I’m doing, to be living life by faith, without anxious fear, side by side with the ones I love.
  10. Assuming you had 24 hours to live, what would you do with your remaining hours? Put an end to healthy eating and careful spending and race out to say my goodbye to the world and my “I love you” to the ones dear to me in every absurd and unforgettable way of which I can dream.
