Although the stomach bug is going around Wesleyan, Senioritis is catching up, taking masses of seniors up in its storm. Senioritis is a disease plaguing second semester seniors across the country. Although some have been infected since August, the disease is just now spreading throughout the entire Wesleyan senior class. The question is: will they make it?
New Years is the time of the year where people all around the nation try to make this upcoming year the best year yet, by making resolutions, like working out, starting a new diet, journaling, growing a relationship with someone, or overcoming a trial. When asked, the students and faculty at Wesleyan School what their New Year’s Resolutions were and how they planned to make their 2019 the best year yet.
There are three letters that associate LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving together: NBA. This year for the NBA season, the biggest game changer for both the Eastern and Western conference was LeBron James joining Lonzo Ball and the Los Angeles Lakers after several years of playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
According to NBA statistics, as of Jan. 15, LeBron James has an average of 27.3 points and an average of 8.3 rebounds per game during his time with the Lakers (ESPN). He, however, is recovering from an injury which does not permit him to play with his team on the court.
From the moment students step on campus, the Wesleyan mission statement is instilled in them through the actions of teachers, administrators and peers. The Statement, “To be a Christian school of academic excellence by providing each student a diverse college preparatory education guided by Christian principles and beliefs; by challenging and nurturing the mind, body and spirit; and by developing stewardship in our changing world.”
Veterans are known has heroes that have sacrificed more than imaginable putting the lives of others before their own. These heroes live out Wesleyan’s JOY motto by putting the safety of others before their own. The school held an assembly honoring those in the community who have risked their lives for others on Nov. 9 in Yancy Gymnasium. Keep Reading
