Over the years, Peachtree Corners has been rising in population and will continue to boom due to the businesses and corporations that have been built in the popular city. Many large businesses have developed, and the new upcoming RaceTrac is no exception. While there are many popular places that students often visit after school, a question arose: Will RaceTrac become the new place to hang out or will QuikTrip continue to be the most popular gas station for snacks and gas after school? The new RaceTrac is currently being built and will be a 5,000 square-foot store that will sit on eight acres of land. It is expected to be finished being built, in 2020.
The Chick-Fil-A in Peachtree Corners closed at the end of Nov., due to remodeling, but is planning to be re-opened in May 2019. The store at 6105 Peachtree Parkway will be torn down, re-serviced and built back up for fresh new look. The new store will have an updated kitchen, seating and modern drive-thru lane. Every year before the first day of school, the freshman class spends two days together on a retreat to form new relationships with their classmates. This year, the class of 2020 spent two nights at a Carolina Point, a Young Life camp in North Carolina.
The softball team is ready to bring home their first state championship. Wesleyan has moved down to class A, meaning, there will be multiple unfamiliar opponents.
The softball team will have to adjust their strategies as they will be competing against new teams. However, with six seniors on the varsity team, they have plenty of experience and will be able to make the adjustment.
