In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, schools all across the country have instated a new program for students and teachers alike that will help keep the school year going strong. This new program, called distance learning, has been used as an outlet for teachers to engage with students online, assigning homework and assessments on the school’s website. The main question everyone is asking is, “Will distance learning be the best possible method to engage students in the virtual classroom?”

“Tuck Everlasting” is a story about a young girl who stumbles upon a family of immortal individuals and teaches them what it means to enjoy life, no matter how long or short it may be. This lesson can be applied and carried out in the lives of every audience member in attendance. Wesleyan Fine Arts premiered their first production of “Tuck Everlasting” on Feb. 5. “Tuck Everlasting” is a story with grandiose meaning and many lessons to be learned from the characters. English Teacher and Assistant Director Cameron Alexander, senior Adam Rogers and junior Constance Harris gave insight as to what it means to not take your life for granted and to live a full and meaningful life as long as you can. It is a new year, and that means that it is time for the start of the spring sports season. All of Wesleyan’s spring athletes and coaches are preparing for tryouts or the beginning of practice. The Wolves’ spring sports teams had a record-breaking last year, but now they are getting ready for their best season yet. Here is what the Wolves will be up to this spring:

Over the years, Peachtree Corners has been rising in population and will continue to boom due to the businesses and corporations that have been built in the popular city. Many large businesses have developed, and the new upcoming RaceTrac is no exception. While there are many popular places that students often visit after school, a question arose: Will RaceTrac become the new place to hang out or will QuikTrip continue to be the most popular gas station for snacks and gas after school? The new RaceTrac is currently being built and will be a 5,000 square-foot store that will sit on eight acres of land. It is expected to be finished being built, in 2020.

Over the summer, countless students and faculty watched new movies, whether it was in theatres or digitally on Netflix. In all four grades, students picked their favorite movie and why they liked it so much. Faculty also gave their picks on their favorite flicks that they watched over the summer as well.

Top 3 Films of the Summer:

 #1. Spider-Man: Far From Home

The sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, Far From Home takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, where Tony Stark (Iron Man) sacrifices his life to save the entire universe. Peter Parker, still grieving his mentor’s death, takes the helm as the face of the Marvel Universe during a fateful school trip to Europe. Starring Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jake Gyllenhaal as the mysterious Mysterio.

 #2. Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

The second to last film of legendary director Quentin Tarantino, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood captures the golden age of Hollywood in the 1960s and follows the career of fictional actor Rick Dalton and his prolific stuntman, Cliff Booth. The film also follows the starting career of famed actress Sharon Tate and Cliff’s encounter with the Manson family, which connects both his and Tate’s future in Hollywood. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt. Keep Reading
